64-bedroom hotel franchise in Crewe put up for sale for £3.5 million

A 64-bedroom hotel franchise close to Crewe Railway Station has been listed for sale - costing an 'experienced operator/investor' £3.5 million to takeover.
Holiday Inn Express, Macon Way, is being marketed by specialist business property advisors, Christie & Co's Manchester office.
The 0.48 acre site, located behind a McDonald's fast-food outlet - includes a bar, restaurant and car parking facilities.
This three-storey property is just 0.3 miles from Crewe Railway Station and 0.5 miles from Apollo Buckingham Health Sciences University Campus, Crewe Green Road.
According to Google Reviews, Holliday Inn Express Crewe has an average rating of 3.5. This is made up from 442 reviews.
A Christie & Co sales brochure outlined the listing, saying: "Our clients have owned and operated the hotel for a number of years and are now looking to exit.
"We feel this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced operator/investor to take over a ready to run branded hotel business.
"The operation is currently fully managed with a strong structure already in place.
"The hotel produces a high turnover, with strong occupancy levels.
"Income is derived from a variety of revenue streams."
According to the brochure, Holiday Inn Express' Crewe turnover totalled £978,623 in 2020 - making a gross profit of £694,925.
The Macon Way Holiday Inn Express franchise is currently on a 20-year term that began in September 2012.
As of April 2021, Holiday Inn had 601 hotels in the UK. 579 of these locations were in England.
