57-year-old Crewe housing development site manager wins award for fourth year running
A housing development site manager from Crewe has won a coveted Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence Award - for the fourth year running.
Albert Hassall lives in Shavington and oversees construction at Vistry Group's Hazelmere location in Haslington on the outskirts of Crewe.
The local man is one of just 13 winners of the award in the North West this year.
Mr Hassall was given the award by the National House Building Council (NHBC) at its regional awards ceremony held in Manchester on Friday (October 14).
The Seal of Excellence is the second stage of the Pride in the Job Awards, with Mr Hassall being among 443 site managers across the country picked for a Quality Award.
This is the fourth year in a row that the 57-year-old has won both awards for the high standard of construction and site safety at Hazelmere.
Vistry, which incorporates Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships, is building 250 new homes under the Bovis Homes brand at Hazelmere.
The site will consist of 175 homes for private sale and 75 'affordable' properties for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Mr Hassall said: "To have won a Seal of Excellence again means the world to me.
"What makes me even happier is to see my team at Hazelmere, the Vistry staff involved and the contractors, all walking around with their heads held high.
"It was a brilliant day when I found out – what a great feeling it is giving us all."
There are currently a choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom Bovis Homes properties available to reserve at Hazelmere - with prices starting at £223,995.
Marketing manager for Vistry Mercia, Freya Halsall, said: "These awards recognise the highest of standards that are set by the best site managers in the industry throughout the country.
"To win four Seal of Excellence awards in a row is truly exceptional.
"Albert is a brilliant communicator whose common-sense approach and down-to-earth attitude reaps dividends.
"He is an inspirational team leader whose open-door style enables him to help and support his colleagues and to consistently get the best from them.
"These awards also demonstrate that Hazelmere, where Albert is site manager, is a development where house-buyers can be assured of an excellent standard of build and customer service."
