32-year-old Crewe woman charged with running Staffordshire brothel

A 32-year-old woman from Crewe has been charged with running a brothel used for prostitution - following a police raid at a Staffordshire property last Autumn.
Staffordshire Police attended a residential address off Shelton Old Road, Stoke-on-Trent, just before 5.55pm on 28 October 2021 - following reports of a suspected brothel operating in the city.
Nicoleta Dobra, of Nantwich Road, was charged with keeping/managing a brothel used for prostitution. She will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday (September 1).
The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing/inciting prostitution for gain, conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and fraud by false representation.
Dobra was also arrested on suspicion of managing/assisting in the management of a heterosexual brothel and being in possession of class B drugs - cannabis/cannabis resin.
She is is on bail until her appearance at the Newcastle-under-Lyme court.
During this incident, witnesses also reported that a man in his 20s had been assaulted by a group of three men.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
A 26-year-old man, from London, was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and section 18 - grievous bodily harm with intent.
Petru-Cezar Carp, of Marischal Road, has since been charged with section 18 - grievous bodily harm with intent.
He is currently on police bail and is also due to appear before North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday (September 1).
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "Police attended a residential address off Shelton Old Road just before following reports of a suspected brothel operating in Stoke-on-Trent.
"A man and a woman have been charged for brothel and violence offences."
