26-year-old man assaulted at Crewe pub - remains in hospital
A 26-year-old man has been assaulted at a Crewe town centre pub - remaining in hospital with serious facial injuries.
The incident happened at Albert's Corner, Prince Albert Street, Crewe in the late hours of Saturday morning (May 28) / early hours of Sunday morning (May 29).
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 1:10pm today (30 May), police received third party reports of an assault at a pub in Crewe.
"The caller reported that late on Saturday 28 May/ in the early hours of Sunday 29 May.
"A 26-year-old man was assaulted by four unknown men at a public house on Price Albert Street, Crewe.
"The victim was taken to hospital following the incident where he was found to have sustained serious facial injuries.
"The man remains in hospital at this time."
The 26-year-old man was rushed to Aintree A&E with three fractures to his jaw.
He has remained there since and had two plates, a wire and two buttons fitted.
Albert's Corner remained open until 2am on the night of the attack.
The incident happened just hours after the conclusion to the Champions League final.
