20-year-old woman arrested following fight at Crewe pub during England match

A 20-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault - following a fight at a Crewe pub during the England World Cup match.

The incident outside The Four Eagles, Dunwoody Way, happened at approximately 8:50pm on Saturday (December 10) - when England lost 2-1 to France.

After being asked to leave the Hungry Horse pub, a 20-year-old woman assaulted three other woman.

One of the women assaulted was the landlady of the Crewe pub.

Five Cheshire Police units arrived at The Four Eagles to deal with the incident.

Today (December 12), Cheshire Constabulary confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 8.50pm on Saturday (December 10), police were called to reports of an incident outside a public house on Dunwoody Way.

The incident happened during the screening of England World Cup quarter final match with France (Ryan Parker).

"Officers attended the scene and found that a woman had assaulted three other women after being asked to leave the pub.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries.

"A 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.

"She has since been released on conditional bail."
