19-year-old Liverpool man charged following robbery of Crewe convenience store

Cheshire Police detectives have charged a man in connection to an aggravated burglary - taking place at a convenience store in Crewe.

Didar Tarfor Mahmood was arrested on Thursday 2 March, after police were called to reports of an incident at the Crewe Supermarket, Nantwich Road.

The 19-year-old of Sheil Road, Liverpool, has since been charged with Robbery.

Didar Tarfor Mahmood appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday 3 March (Wikimedia Commons).

He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday 3 March.

Enquiries to trace three other suspects who made off from the scene on foot remain ongoing.

The men, who were possibly armed with a weapon, entered the back of the store and stole a large quantity of cigarettes. 

All of the stolen items were recovered in the car park at the rear of the store. 

Officers are also keen to hear from two customers who were in Crewe Supermarket, Nantwich Road, when the incident occurred (Ryan Parker).

Cheshire Police officers are urging anyone with any information which may aid the investigation to get in touch.

The customers were a woman who was believed to be wearing a red coat and a man who was wearing a coat with a furry hood.
