Crewe Gang Show makes a welcome return after four years, taking place at the Crewe Lyceum Theatre from Wednesday 4th May to Saturday 7th May 2022.

Crewe Gang Show variety show is usually held every two years, but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented its 2020 performance from going ahead.

The youth organisation, created through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders puts a show on for members of the public to enjoy.

A cast of over 100 South West Cheshire Scouts have been rehearsing their singing, dancing and acting at Crewe Engineering and Design UTC every Sunday since last October, to put together a spectacular show of music, dance and comedy like no other in town.

A representative from Crewe Gang Show stated: "We're back, bigger and better than ever. When it comes to variety shows, South West Cheshire Scouts has it all.

"Five performances over four days, all guaranteed to have you singing along, laughing out loud and tapping your feet to our spectacular variety show, with a cast of over 100 members of Scouting who are ready and waiting to entertain you.

"This year's show promises to be the biggest and best so far.

"From the traditional Crest Of A Wave right through to the chart music of the 2020s. There will be sketches and skits to have your sides aching with laughter, we have something for everyone and guarantee you a fun filled night of spectacular entertainment from start to finish.

"Grab a ticket and be entertained by the talented Scouts of South West Cheshire, who have been performing Gang Shows in Crewe for over 80 years - with the very first performances being shown at Crewe Town Hall before moving to Crewe Lyceum nearly 70 years ago.

"Through performance, the Scout Gang Shows empower young people to make a positive contribution to society.

"Based on the original 1932 concept of 'The Gang Show' devised by Ralph Reader, the 2022 show continues with tradition by combining song, dance and comedy Come and join us as we celebrate this special tradition."

Last year, the South West Cheshire Scout group wrote to its youngsters: "We would like to invite you to perform on stage at Crewe Lyceum Theatre from 4th - 7th May 2022.

"Join young people from all over South West Cheshire to sing, dance and act in a spectacular variety show like no other. We welcome all abilities and personalities.

"You don't have to have been part of a previous show as you will be trained and led by a professional and enthusiastic team of coaches and directors."
