Crewe CC: Callum Bacon top scores in 38-run loss against Checkley

CREWE CC fell to a 38-run defeat at the hands of Checkley 2nds in NSSC Division Three.

While the visitors posted a modest total of 136 all out with Martin Webb, Lew Bacon and George Harding doing well with their stints and all taking three wickets apiece.

But Crewe struggled to get into their stride. Callum Bacon top scored with 28, but Crewe slipped from 62-2 to being skittled out in the 30th over with only 98 on the board.

Crewe's 2nd XI also tasted defeat at Audlem. They were all out for 105, while the hosts bashed out the runs in 21 overs (108-4) to clinch a six-wicket success.
