A new Crewe payroll manager is aiming to make workers "feel comfortable" with the payroll process, after starting at a large family-run company.
This July, Swansway Motor Group appointed Caroline Kenyon to the position of payroll manager.
Caroline has amassed a wealth of experience throughout an extensive career in payroll, working predominantly in fixed-term contract roles.
During these roles, Caroline was required to implement payroll systems as well as trouble-shoot existing issues.
These experiences, combined with a seven-year stint managing bar-restaurants in Spain, allow Caroline to empathise with employees when addressing payroll.
It was the opportunity for a permanent role, along with Swansway's family values which drew Caroline to the role.
Caroline told Nub News: "You never see anyone unhappy here, everyone is very welcoming and friendly, it feels like I've been here for years."
The new payroll manager accepts the department can be a source of confusion for employees.
As such, she intends to educate people to understand the system, thus creating a more transparent process for all involved.
Caroline has spoken of her excitement at the opportunity to bring her expertise to the role, hoping to ensure employees are confident and comfortable with the payroll process.
She added: "Most people are not payroll experts, so it is important that we can help people understand the process so that they feel comfortable with their pay."
Swansway Motor Group told Nub News it would like to wish Caroline the "best of luck" in her new role.
