The Head of Strategic Finance is a high-impact, newly created leadership role designed to

support the YMCA Cheshire's growth, transformation, and long-term financial sustainability.

Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will shape and

deliver the financial strategy that supports expansion, revenue generation, and commercial

success.

The role combines strategic finance leadership, commercial insight, and operational financial

governance. Key responsibilities include leading financial planning and analysis, building

sophisticated forecasting and performance reporting frameworks, supporting fundraising and

investor relations, and strengthening financial controls and compliance across YMCA Cheshire's

operations.

This role requires strong commercial acumen and experience in strategic finance environments

such as investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, or high-growth scaleup businesses. The successful candidate will act as a business partner to commercial and

operational teams, providing insight on pricing, unit economics, and growth opportunities to

support decision-making.

As the organisation scales, the role will also help build and develop an internal finance

capability, strengthen governance and risk management, and ensure high-quality financial

reporting and external stakeholder confidence.
