An air ambulance landed on a field in Crewe after a local resident suffered a 'medical episode' - with emergency services rushing to the scene.

Cheshire Police officers and North West Ambulance Service quickly paramedics rushed to the scene - blocking off Queen Street.

Emergency services supported a woman who suffered a "medical episode" at her address.

The woman was taken to Leighton Hospital by air ambulance.

On Wednesday 26 April, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 6.20pm police were made aware that a woman was suffering a medical episode at an address on Queen Street.

The Crewe woman was taken to Leighton Hospital by air ambulance (Cheshire Police).

"Police and paramedics attended the scene and the woman was taken to Leighton Hospital."
