A WISTASTON firm has secured support from a technology pilot.
Gary Pearson, who runs Effective CNC Solutions, is among the latest wave of manufacturers to get funding from Made Smarter, a north west-based movement helping small and medium sized firms introduce digital tools and technologies to boost productivity and growth, and navigate the impact of Covid-19.

Jonathan enjoys the town centre light displays in Crewe and Nantwich, but he says nothing beats an extravagant set of lights mounted on or around a home, as well as the occasional inflatable decoration.

CREWE Town Council says it is providing value for money by setting a "lowest" precept rise which will see most council tax payers pay only £3.10 extra a year for services delivered by the authority.
Councillors, in approving their budget for 2021/22, compared the 5.98 per cent precept rise to that imposed by neighbouring Nantwich Town Council, which has slapped residents with a 42.5 per cent increase.

CHESHIRE East Council leader Sam Corcoran has stressed the importance of observing Covid-19 measures under the new stricter regime.
The Labour councillor admitted that concerns over the new variant of coronavirus were of "significant concern" and said people will have to accept rethinking their plans for Christmas, including considering not travelling in or out of the Cheshire East area.

CANDIDATES for a Crewe by-election have clashed after one of the prospective councillors voiced his opposition to the Covid-19 vaccine.
Brian Silvester, who is due to stand for the Crewe West ward in borough and town council elections next May, came under fire from his Labour rival Connor Naismith for advising people not to have the vaccine.
