Many Crewe pubs, like the Imperial on Edleston Road, have reopened their doors

DRINKERS in Crewe are being reminded to take care to help keep themselves and others safe when visiting re-opened pubs, bars and restaurants again this weekend.

Last weekend venues across the town reopened their doors and while one pub in the town was reported for breaching the government's corona virus guidelines the initial reopening passed relatively peacefully.

CREWE faces a critical time as the impact of Covid-19 has been hard felt on traders and businesses while work on major redevelopments are on hold. But Crewe and Nantwich MP Kieran Mullan hopes a £50 million pot of cash can help transform a town centre he believes should be less reliant on shops. CREWE Vagrants are appealing for help to hit a £10,000 fundraising target after the pandemic left the sports complex without any revenue.

Already £5,260 has been raised for the Covid19 Crowdfunder 'Return to Sport Appeal' which is needed to meet utility bills, insurance/financial charges, pitch maintenance as well as the extra costs of implementing Covid-19 safety measures at the Newcastle Road sports site.
