POLICE are investigating an arson attack which left a motorbike destroyed in Audley Street this morning.
The bike was set alight on open land and was doused by firefighters from Crewe Fire Station who arrived at the scene at 2.45am and spent half an hour tackling the blaze.

A GYMNASTICS club in Crewe has revamped its training sessions so it can reopen its doors to its athletes.
LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy, based at the Apollo Buckingham Campus, formerly MMU, has brought back small cohorts of gymnasts to move between activities with extensive cleaning being undertaken between routines.

A DOORMAN conned a Crewe pub into giving him work by creating a fake licence with paper and Sellotape, a court was told.
Ronald George Gleave was said to have abused his position of responsibility to the public by making the bogus badge to secure work at the Brunswick public house on Nantwich Road.

CREWE boss Dave Artell said he was impressed with a generous welcome from Steve Bruce during a pre-season visit to Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate near York.
The Alex went down to a 3-0 defeat yesterday against Bruce's Newcastle United in their latest warm-up game. While the result may have been academic, Artell said the reception he and his players received in Yorkshire will live in the memory.

CREWE has been earmarked for a new youth zone after an existing base for young people in the town centre was hit by the summer's floods.
The Cheshire East Youth Support Service hub in Market Street was closed under lockdown and has remained shut after the premises suffered water damage during June's torrential downpours.
