SHOPPERS in Crewe are to benefit from a free parking day in July after a junior football club asked for help hosting a tournament.

Crewe FC submitted a request to Crewe Town Council that supporters attending a woman and girl's pre-season tournament at the Cumberland Arena on Saturday, July 10 be permitted to park for free on the nearby Thomas Street car park.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity is raising funds for specialist baby care equipment.

A CHARITY has launched an appeal to fund specialist equipment for Leighton Hospital's paediatric unit.

The Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity's 'Children's Emergency Care Appeal' has set a £40,000 target by the end of the year so that it can buy two interactive floor projectors and sensory play wall-foxed activity units for the waiting areas and assessment rooms.

THERE are new leaders of Division One Group A in the CREWE REGIONALY SUNDAY LEAGUE.

Sydney Arms dropped were knocked off top spot after going down to a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Nantwich Pirates despite a double from Ben Reddock. Aaron Davies was also on target for Sydney, but Wayne Garnett scored twice for the Pirates and veteran Andy Truan, Lewis Jackson and new signing Abraham Mulenga all hit the net to secure victory for the visitors.

HEALTH chiefs have revealed that despite lockdown restrictions GP practices in Cheshire managed to conduct 1.3m face-to-face appointments.

Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, GPs were still available to host physical appointments with patients, while new figures show between April 1 last year and March 31 this year, a similar number (1.3 million) of telephone and video appointments were carried out.
