CHESHIRE East Council has announced its Christmas bin collection schedule.

Ansa, the council's environmental services company, will be placing information stickers on black bins of those households whose normal collections fall on the bank holidays and advising of changes to schedules (see below) over the Christmas and New Year period.

CHESHIRE East Council is to look again at safe walking routes - including one from Wychwood Park to Weston - and possibly axing some school bus services.

The matter was raised at this week's meeting of the children and families committee during an update report on school transport and the council's plans to transfer the functions of its wholly owned company, Transport Service Solutions (TSS,) back to Cheshire East Council.

CHESHIRE East Council has admitted any future scheme to replace the Crewe Hub Area Action Plan and the Southern Link Road Bridge proposal is unlikely to be as ambitious as the original one.

Several Conservative councillors have criticised the decision made by the corporate policy committee last week to shelve the schemes, which were part of the council's plans for the arrival of HS2.
