Green landmark: Queen's Park in Crewe

MEMBERS of the 'Queens Park Crewe - The People's Park' Facebook group have put together a 2022 Calendar featuring photographs of Queens Park on Victoria Avenue in Crewe throughout all the seasons of the year.

The photographs were all submitted by members of the Group, who have shown their photographic talent within the popular Grade II listed public park, which opened in 1887. The 'Queens Park Crewe - The People's Park' Facebook group allows its members to share photos and comments about the town's great asset.

Crewe Commercial Park is home to big names

Online electricals retailer AO has opened its fourth warehouse in Crewe, creating over 80 new jobs and adding over 300,000 sqft of new distribution space to its logistics network.

In the largest commercial property build of the year in the region, AO Logistics is occupying the huge Crewe 305 site at Crewe Commercial Park building on the retailer's existing logistics hub with its three warehouses in the town.

POLICE and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, John Dwyer, visited the cascading poppy display at St Mary's Church in Wistaston which was created by Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.

The "Ribbon of Poppies" cascades down St Mary's Church and rests between two silhouetted soldiers. It took over 450 hours across 10 months to construct, and is made from over 5,000 plastic bottle ends, painted red to resemble poppies and attached onto wire mesh.
