Young trio from LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy selected to represent GB

By Guest   25th Jul 2021

THREE young gymnasts from Crewe have been selected to represent GB in a European event later this year.

Lewis Lakin, Sharni Jones and Naomi Bostock are all members of LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy.

They will represent the country in Portugal at the Europeans TeamGym event in December.

Performance coach Candy Lakin said: "Battling through the lockdown these three gymnasts not only continued to drive towards their goals but worked to engage so many of our future champions.

"I have coached all three for many years and they have developed into amazing talented gymnasts.

"Naomi is currently one of the directors of the gym club, Sharni is training to become a paramedic and Lewis is off to university to support his sporting career.

"They spend many working hours in the club engaging our amazing group of gymnasts in the sport and encouraging the family ethos of the club plus training many evenings."

LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy attracts over 550 gymnasts and parents of all ages.

The sport of TeamGym is a team gymnastic sport ideal to promote teamwork and long-term friendships.
