CREWE suffered relegation misery on the final day of the North Staffs and South Cheshire League season.
The firsts' demotion from Division Three was also compounded by a defeat for the second XI in their final fixture which extinguished their hopes of promotion from Division Eight.
Needing to win at Hanford and hope other results went their way Crewe's decision to bat first rebounded on them as they were skittled for 114.
Callum Bacon top scored with 21, but after a bright opening partnership with Chris Barratt which put on 42 runs, Crewe's batsmen found Faisal Mahmood (5-26) hard to play against with the Hanford.
The home side chalked up their target (120-5) in just over 25 overs, a defeat which left Crewe 13 points adrift of third-bottom Wedgwood and contemplating the 2022 season in Division Four.
Crewe's seconds were up against top-of-the-table Cheadle 3rds and while they put up some strong resistance in posting a total of 171-8 from their 40 overs, ultimately they went down to an eight-wicket defeat.
Zach Chambers hit an unbeaten 55 for Crewe, but Cheadle had the game won in the 32nd over after Michael Degg top scored with 70.
It meant Crewe finished 21 points adrift of second-placed Woore, who also won their final game.
