Crewe parkrunners submit Lockdown times

PARKRUNNERS from Crewe are still donning their trainers and submitting their times during lockdown.
Organisers of the popular parkrun events have launched (not)parkrun where runners can submit a 5k walk or run on a route of their choosing and at a day and time of their choice while the nationally co-ordinated event remains paused.
Runners can record up to one activity per day and their fastest time each week is included in a weekly results table.
Regular Crewe parkrunners have submitted their times for the period June 22-28.
They are: Maurice Fitzgerald of South Cheshire Harriers (31.16), Kat Arnold (Badass Morther Runners) (32.49), Clive Osborne (42.06), Nadia Reiter (36.30) and Roger Beastall (29.34).
Every registered parkrunner can participate in (not)parkrun and should submit their times via their profile pages.
But runners are being advised not to head to Queens Park to follow their usual parkrun route and if possible they should stay near to their homes of they can even complete their 5k on a treadmill.
Parkrun organisers insist: "We remain extremely positive that parkrun will return. (not)parkrun is just a bit of fun in the absence of the parkrun we know and love."
They also stress that under-16s need permission to run on their own.
