Crewe Alexandra have completed their sixth summer signing, with a Stoke City attacker joining on a season-long loan.

Emre Tezgel has joined Crewe after featuring in the second half for Stoke against The Railwaymen in Wednesday's pre-season clash at The Mornflake Stadium.

Tezgel, who can play as an out-and-out striker or slightly deeper, arrives with a strong reputation.

A prolific scorer at Under-21 level, the 19-year-old made his debut at just 16 and has gone on to make 23 senior appearances for the Potters.

Emre Tezgel joins Josh March, Phil Croker, Reece Hutchinson, Sam Waller, and Tommi O'Reilly in signing up for Lee Bell's 2025/26 squad (Crewe Alex).

In 2024/25 Tezgel hit three in five starts during a loan spell at MK Dons in League Two.

The England Under-20 international is highly rated at Stoke and signed a new two-year contract at Bet365 Stadium in June.

Tezgel joins Josh March, Phil Croker, Reece Hutchinson, Sam Waller, and Tommi O'Reilly in signing up for Lee Bell's 2025/26 squad.

A Crewe Alexandra spokesperson said: "Everybody at Crewe Alexandra would like to welcome Emre and wish him luck for the season."

Crewe are expected to make their seventh summer signing imminently, with fans capturing them inside the stadium.
