Fans and club representatives of Crewe Alexandra FC have been in conversation about the establishment of a mural in Crewe, commemorating the importance of the club to the area.
The idea was first proposed on The Railwaymen Podcast, a popular show discussing all things Crewe Alex.
After Connor Naismith was interviewed on the podcast, he expressed his support for the idea and was able to connect fans with local stakeholders to bring the idea to life.
On Monday 8 December, The Railwaymen launched an online consultation to gather the views of fans and residents in relation to the mural.

Connor Naismith MP told Nub News: "The driving force behind this mural is exactly Crewe Alex is about. A dedicated community, and a club which puts fans and supporters at the heart of what they do.
"I'm honoured to be a part of documenting that relationship in our town's history."
The consultation will remain open until the end of January 2026, where local stakeholders will use the findings to determine factors like location, design, artist, and more.
Chair of the Railwaymen Supporters Society and Board Member of the club, Mark Beavan, said:
"Crewe Alex is more than a football club, it's the heartbeat of our community. Built on the rich history of the town, we should celebrate the past and look forward to the future."
Director CreweCreates CIC, Novae Baghurst, said: "Crewe has a rich story and a passionate community, and Crewe Alexandra is part of that.

"A mural is a powerful way to celebrate our local pride, create something people can connect with, and make our town an even more vibrant place to visit."
Creator and participant in The Railwaymen Podcast, Stuart Price, said: "The town of Crewe and Crewe Alexandra Football Club both have a great deal to be proud of, and I believe it's time we celebrated them more openly.
"I hope this mural will honour the rich history of The Alex and become something the people of the town and wider area can truly feel proud of."
