A CHARITY football match organised by Crewe Alex stadium announcer Andy Scoffin has already raised more than £4,500 for The Christie.

The Gresty Road fundraiser, played behind-closed-doors on Sunday evening, featured teams split into those donning home and away Crewe Alex kits. Players paid up to £25 each to play in teams captained by Andy's sons, Ashley and Warren.

Angel suffered haemorrhages to her eye.

A MAN who threw his Staffordshire bull terrier up in the air and kicked her in a Crewe street has been banned from keeping animals for five years.

Jordan Odom picked the dog, called Angel, up its scruff and then threw her up in the air, before calling the animal back where he repeated the process twice more and kicked her, South Cheshire Magistrates' Court was told.
