Woman charged after driving 'under the influence' of alcohol in Crewe

A Sandbach woman has been charged after being caught driving "under the influence" of alcohol in Crewe over the weekend.

On Saturday 13 July, Cheshire Police received a report of a drink driver on Beswick Drive.

At 1:44am, officers located the vehicle, pulling it over on Victoria Avenue.

Kylie Marie Wain, 36, of Sandbach, was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.

She has since been charged with drink driving and has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 8 August.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 1:44am on Saturday 13 July, police received a report of a driver under the influence on Beswick Drive in Crewe.

"Officers subsequently stopped the car on Victoria Avenue and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.

Kylie Marie Wain, 36, of Sandbach, has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 8 August (Cheshire Police).

"Kylie Marie Wain, 36, of Sandbach, has since been charged with drink driving.

"She has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 8 August."
