What's open over the festive holiday in Crewe - and here are the times!

WHILE tier three restrictions come into force on Boxing Day in Cheshire East people may still be looking to stock up at the supermarkets.

If you run out of provisions on Christmas Day, fear not as both Crewe's Morrisons and Tesco stores are opening on Boxing Day.

Here's a look at some of the times when you can shop over the holiday period.

Morrisons, Dunwoody Way:

Christmas Eve: until 6pm.

Christmas Day: Closed

Boxing Day: 9am to 6pm

Sunday, Dec 27: 10am to 4pm

Monday, Dec 28 (holiday in lieu of 26th): 7am to 10pm

Asda, Victoria Centre.

Christmas Eve: until 7pm

Christmas Day: Closed

Boxing Day: Closed.

Sunday, Dec 27: 10am to 4pm

Monday, Dec 28: 7.30am to 10pm

Aldi, Earl of Crewe and Aldi, Crewe Green

Christmas Eve: until 6pm.

Christmas Day: Closed

Boxing Day: Closed

Sunday, Dec 27: 8am to 10pm

Monday, Dec 28: 8am, to 10pm.

Tesco Extra, Vernon Way

Christmas Eve: until 7pm.

Christmas Day: Closed.

Boxing Day: 9am to 6pm.

Sunday, Dec 27: 6am to 12am

Monday, Dec 28: 6am to 12am

Tesco Express, Crewe Road

Christmas Eve: until

Christmas Day: Closed.

Boxing Day: 8am to 10pm.

Sunday, Dec 27: 6am to 11pm.

Monday, Dec 28: 6am to 11pm.

Elsewhere, for health needs the pharmacy at Eaglebridge Health and Wellbeing Centre is open on Christmas Day between 8.30pm and 6.30pm and on Boxing Day from 9am to 1pm.

While Cheshire East Council can still be contacted for essential services on its customer contact centre phone lines.

The council will shut its main points of contact from 4pm on Christmas Eve until 8.30am on Monday, January 4, but for those with issues regarding highways, registration, waste and people helping services the council can be contacted.

For those services, the opening hours are December 29: 9am-5pm; December 30: 9am-5pm; December 31: 9am-5pm.

For emergency assistance for vulnerable people facing immediate hardship, the opening hours are: December 29: 10am-2pm; December 30: 10am-2pm; December 31: 10am-2pm.

For self-isolation payment support and for people facing immediate hardship due to Covid self-isolation requirements, the phone lines will be open on December 29: 10am-3pm; December 30: 10am-3pm; December 31: 10am-3pm.

But the customer service centres at Delamere House remain closed to the public until further notice due to the ongoing pandemic.
