What's on in Crewe this weekend?

AT Nub News we cast our eye over local events to produce a weekly round up of what's on in Crewe each weekend.

Every Thursday we bring you our top picks of the events being held in the area that are listed on our What's On section.

This weekend we've got some more great events at Crewe Market Hall, including an allotment holders' event and an appearance on stage by the talented Sam Lyon. While TV favourite Josh Widdicombe is making a high-profile visit to the Lyceum Theatre.

1. Seed Potato Day at Crewe Market Hall

This looks a really interesting day for the green-fingered. Members of Crewe Town Allotment Federation are offering a one-stop shop for all your allotment and garden-growing needs.

It is the organisation's annual seed and potato event and this year they have chosen to bring it into Crewe's superb new venue on Saturday (February 19) between 10am and 2pm.

Check it up on our listings page here.

The stand-up, perhaps best known for award-winning 'The Last Leg' is pencilled in for a rescheduled date in Crewe with his new show on Saturday night.

The publicity write-up promises a "very funny night of grumbles and jokes in which Josh will finally tackle the hot comedy topics of advent calendars, pesto and the closing time of his local park."

Ticket links can be found here.

3. Sam Lyon at Crewe Market Hall

Market Hall audiences already know about this talented singer/songwriter who is back on stage at 4pm on Sunday.

See our What's On page for details here.

Also worthy of mention for the weekend:

Environmental group Earthwatch is staging a Tiny Forest tree planting day at Frank Bott Avenue from 10am to 3pm.

The live entertainment at the Market Hall on Friday night is the Gospel Soul Truth Band and on Saturday night wedding and party outfit The Hustle hit the stage.
