AT Nub News we cast our eye over local events to produce a weekly round up of what's on in Crewe each weekend.

Every Thursday we bring you our top picks of the events being held in the area that are listed on our What's On section for the coming weekend.

If your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Crewe Nub News. Follow this link to our What's On section and click the black 'Nub It' button to add your details.

The new year kicks off with some great acts at Crewe Market Hall.

UPDATE: The Elvis Tribute and Paul Taylor shows at Crewe Market Hall on Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled, but the hall's management has sourced some excellent stand-ins at a late hour.

They are for Saturday night, acoustic duo The Pluckers, and on Sunday afternoon, Cole Jackson.

If you fancy taking part in a new sport then this weekend there is a return to training for Crewe Railroaders

The club's sessions start on Sunday (January 9) and Head Coach Jason Smith has already thrown down the welcome mat for seniors, ladies and juniors as the club recruits in readiness for the new season, which starts in April.

The Railroaders hold their training sessions at the King George V Playing Fields.
