Here's what's on offer around Crewe this weekend.

1.Tree of Light Ceremony at Crewe Cemetery

Crewe Town Council's annual Tree of Light Ceremony in partnership with Orbitas returns after being cancelled last year.

It is a chance for residents to remember loved ones at Crewe Cemetery over the Christmas period.

Those attending can light a memory candle and see their star on the Tree of Light.

There will be a service, including a choir performance, poetry and piano music by Fall in Green and the Tree of Light switch on.

The events starts at 5.30pm tomorrow (December 3).

2. Ladies Night at the Cheese Hall

This should be a raucous night with a male stripper on stage accompanied by a drag DJ at the ever lively Cheese Hall venue.

Tickets are almost sold out, but there's a few left to grab if you want to brighten up your Friday night (December 3).

There is also a free glass of prosecco for those attending.

3. Green Bullet at the Eight Farmers Pub

Crewe-based Green Bullet are well worth catching up with and they are on at 9pm at the Eight Farmers on Parkers Road on Saturday night (December 4).

With influences ranging from punk through to blues and rock they are a band with a strong set of covers.

Elsewhere on the live scene, you can catch an acoustic set from Rob Lee at Crewe Market Hall on Friday night and comedy music duo Ex's and Ho's also at the Market Hall on Saturday.

On Sunday the quirky Baxter are performing at the hall, while there is a Christmas Karaoke Afternoon at the Cheese Hall.
