THE weather may have turned lousy, but there is plenty going on under cover in Weston village this weekend.

Head for the White Lion Weston as it is guaranteed to be the place to be for good beer and music during its Oktoberfest on Friday and Saturday night.

Preparations are already underway for the event (October 8/9) with a marquee kitted out for live music to wow the tables.

Jazz and blues specialists Almaz featuring Johnny Hewitt are on stage from 5.30pm tomorrow (Friday) night.

While on Saturday night guitarist John R Chatterton will be going through his set list from 5pm followed by James Bell and the Audley Brass Band.

There will be a great selection of German beers such as Pils, Hell, Weizen and Dark supplied by Krobacher on tap, as well as traditional food.

A spokesperson for the White Lion, who are the sponsors of the Crewe Nub News What's On listings, said: "Come down grab a stein and eat some bratwurst and enjoy the live music and atmosphere."

Table bookings for Friday are still available and you can book by calling 01270 587 011 and asking for Chris.
