Cheshire Police officers rushed to a collision causing a major traffic build-up on a main road - connecting Crewe and Nantwich.

The two-vehicle incident on Middlewich Road, Wistaston, close to The Rising Sun Inn pub, happened around 1:25pm on Friday 17 March.

Cheshire Police officers rushed to the scene - discovering two vehicles had collided with one another.

No one was injured in the Middlewich Road incident. Both cars were damaged (Google).

The collision caused a major traffic build-up between Crewe and Nantwich for two hours.

Later on Friday, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "There was a two vehicle collision, damage only, on Middlewich Road, Wistaston, at 1.25pm.

Middlewich Road was cleared with traffic back to normal at around 3:30pm (Cheshire Police).

"Doesn't look like there were any injuries."
