Two treated for smoke inhalation following serious Crewe kitchen blaze

Two Crewe house occupants were treated for smoke inhalation, after fire crews tackled a serious kitchen blaze in the middle of the night for five hours.
On Monday 7 July, emergency services were alerted to an incident on Wakefield Close, off James Atkinson Way.
At 12.55am, two Crewe Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews arrived at the scene, discovering a kitchen of a property well-alight.
Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the flames, as well as clearing the smoke.

Two were given precautionary checks for smoke inhalation by North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
The kitchen fire has been confirmed and being caused accidentally, with the incident dealt with by 5.55am.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperon said: "Fire crews were called to a kitchen fire, which was later determined to be accidental by a fire investigation.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire and cleared the smoke.
"Two occupiers were given precautionary checks for smoke inhalation by paramedics. This incident was closed at 5.55am."
