Two people 'trapped' in overturned car rescued following collision in Crewe
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service rescued two people 'trapped' in a car - following a two-vehicle collision close to a Crewe supermarket.
The incident on University Way, close to Aldi, happened at 3:33pm on Tuesday 14 February.
One fire engine from Crewe and one from Alsager quickly arrived at the scene - assessing the situation.
Firefighters found two people trapped in a car after it had collided with another vehicle.
The two people were unable to get out after their car landed on its side.
Crews removed the car's windscreen to get the two occupants out.
The two people were medically assessed by freighters - escaping without injury.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Two people were trapped in a car following a two vehicle collision on University Way.
"They were unable to get out of the car as it was on its side.
"Firefighters removed the windscreen to enable them to exit.
"The crews medically assessed the occupants and there were no areas of concern."
