Two taken to hospital following Crewe collision involving Royal Mail truck
Two people have been taken to hospital following a serious collision involving a Royal Mail truck and a van in Crewe.
On Thursday 18 July, emergency services responded to an incident on University Way.
At 5:55pm, Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service arrived at the scene.
Emergency services discovered a Royal Mail truck and a Truline delivery van had collided with one another.
Two casualties were reported in the incident, with the truck driver suffering serious injuries and the van driver sustaining minor injuries.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "The driver of the truck suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.
"She was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital, where she remains at this time.
"Her injures are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The driver of the panel van sustained minor injuries and was taken to Leighton hospital as a precaution.
"Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing.
"Any information or dashcam footage is asked to contact Cheshire police on 101, or via the website, quoting: IML 1873743."
