Two arrested after man 'assaulted' in knife attack at Crewe block of flats

Two men have been arrested after a man was "assaulted" with a knife at a block of flats in Crewe - suffering injuries to his hand.
The incident at Waverley Court, close to Crewe Railway Station, happened at 7:55pm on Tuesday 27 June.
Cheshire Police officers, armed with tasers, quickly arrived at the scene - finding a man with "minor injuries" to his hand.
Two men, aged 26 and 29, were tracked down on Nantwich Road and arrested on suspicion of assault.
Officers have confirmed the incident was not a random attack, with all parties believed to know each other.
The two arrested men remain in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
On Thursday 29 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 7.55pm on Tuesday 27 June police were made aware of reports of two men possibly armed with knives on Nantwich Road, Crewe.
"Officers were dispatched to the scene and the located a man with a minor injuries to his hand who stated that he had been assaulted.
"Two men, aged 26 and 29, were located nearby and arrested on suspicion of assault.
"The men remain in custody at this time."
