TRAVELODGE has announced they will be reopening their Crewe Barthomley hotel tomorrow (August 5).
It comes after the hotel chain threw open the doors of the town's main Travelodge at Beswicks Drive last week.
The Barthomley hospitality venue near the M6 is the latest to benefit from the company's phased reopening which has seen a multi-million pound Covid-19 safety and social distance programme called TravelodgeProtect+ rolled out.
Two other Cheshire Travelodges are also reopening at the same time, Middlewich and Macclesfield Adlington.
During the lockdown, Travelodge kept 62 hotels open across the UK from Plymouth to Aberdeen to support key / critical workers, vulnerable groups and local authorities.
TravelodgeProtect+ has been developed by a hygiene strategy team and will become the way Travelodge operates going forward. The programme includes:
Cleaning and Hygiene
- Comprehensive cleaning throughout its hotels using an antiviral disinfectant which is effective against Coronavirus
- Additional post clean room checks with digital tracking in place to ensure high standards
- Increased cleaning frequency in high touchpoints in public areas and rooms
- Linen and towels thermally disinfected
- Training of every hotel team member on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing
- Installation of customer hand sanitiser stations in key locations
Social Distancing
- Protective reception screens
- Signage to mark social distance points including check-in markings
- Monitoring the number of customers in a designated area such as the reception area and lifts
- PPE for all hotel team members
- To minimise contact, housekeeping teams will not enter customer's rooms during their stay
- Contactless payment
- Contactless check-out
