Dr Kieran Mullan recently paid a visit to Crewe's very own community champion Skyla who has been regularly riding around Crewe on her toy tractor collecting litter.

Her hard work was first brought to Mr Mullan's attention when her father Simon posted a video of her on his Twitter doing the rounds through the area around Lime Tree Avenue and Middlewich Road.

"She puts it in her tractor and then we bring it home." her father says. "We put it in the right bin, we recycle it, and we probably do that, subject to weather of course, about two to three times a week, and it's all driven by her."

Mr Mullan decided to congratulate three-year-old Skyla for her efforts by presenting her with a personalised certificate at her home in Crewe.

The Crewe and Nantwich MP said: "I think Skyla sets a great example for all of us about taking some pride in our area, and it's been great to meet her today and say thanks to her on behalf of everybody else."

Kieran was joined in his visit by members from Crewe Clean Team that regularly tackle grot-spots and litter around Crewe.

Mr Mullan added: "If anyone is inspired by Skyla and wants to do their bit, Crewe Clean Team are always looking for more volunteers, so get in touch with my office and we can get you signed up."

You can see Skyla collecting litter here.
