Thieves smash Crewe shop and get away with quantity of cash

Thieves smashed their way into a Crewe Co-op store in the middle of the night, fleeing the scene with "a quantity of cash."

On Monday 3 February, Cheshire Police received reports of burglary at Co-op Wistaston, Crewe Road.

At 2.02am, officers arrived at the scene, discovering the shop window next to the till area had been broken into.

The shop window next to the Co-op Wistaston till area was broken into with a quantity of cash stolen (Nub News).

The unknown offenders managed to steal cash from the store. The amount is currently unknown.

Enquiries into the Wistaston robbery are ongoing, with Cheshire Police appealing for information from the public.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 2.02am on Monday 3 February, police were called to reports of a burglary at the Co-op store in Crewe Road, Wistaston. 

"It is believed that suspects have gained access to the store and stolen a quantity of cash. 

Enquiries into the Wistaston robbery are ongoing with Cheshire Police appealing for information from the public (Cheshire Police).

"Enquiries are currently ongoing.

"Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police online or via 101, quoting IML-2019287."
