A FORMER Crewe Rolls Royce worker's passion for painting has left his bungalow overflowing with canvasses
George Telford, aged 89, once worked as a technical artist with the former Rolls Royce company where his eye for detail was a boon in its publications department.
Now he has turned those intricate skills to producing a collection of stunning acrylic paintings of local buildings and wildlife, including many of Nantwich's rich heritage of timber-framed buildings.
Among the buildings he has painted are the Queen's Aid House, Churche's Mansion, Sweetbriar Hall and The Crown Hotel.
George has also produced numerous wildlife scenes featuring owls, deer, kingfisher, falcon, buzzard, osprey, fox, pheasant and robins.
The pensioner, who lives at Wybunbury, worked with Rolls Royce for nearly forty years before retiring.
He was employed in the publications department as a chief technical artist and later as a publications manager where extreme precision was needed to produce accurate representations of cars, parts, and technical details.
