Crewe and Nantwich taxi company, MyCab, has announced its sponsorship of the Crewe Lyceum Theatre Summer Youth Project 2026, which this year will stage the much-loved family musical The Wizard of Oz on the Main Stage.

The annual Summer Youth Project at Crewe Lyceum Theatre brings together around 70 to 80 young performers aged eight to 18 for an intensive two-week production process, culminating in a full-scale musical performance.

Now in its fourth year, the project continues to offer young people the chance to work alongside a professional creative team including a director, choreographer, musical director, and technical crew.

MyCab, a locally based transport provider licensed by Cheshire East, says the sponsorship reflects its commitment to supporting arts opportunities for young people in the area.

A spokesperson for MyCab said: "We're really proud to support the Crewe Lyceum Summer Youth Project and everything it offers to young people in our community. It's fantastic to see local talent being nurtured in such a professional and inspiring environment.

"The Summer Youth Project is a brilliant opportunity for young people to grow in confidence, learn new skills, and be part of something really special.

"We're delighted to play a small part in making that happen."

The Summer Youth Project: The Wizard of Oz will run from 10 to 22 August, with performances on 21 and 22 August. Auditions take place on Sunday 10 May.
