United Carpets in Crewe expands range after successful buying trip

United Carpets in Crewe is bringing in fresh stock and a new wool carpet display stand, following a conference and buying trip attended by owner and manager Eddie Davies.
Eddie recently spent time meeting with other flooring retailers and manufacturers to gain insights into customer preferences and upcoming product lines.
He said: "The conference was a great chance to speak with other people who have flooring shops about what their customers want and talk to manufacturers about what they have in the pipeline."

In response to demand, the Nantwich Road shop is expanding its selection of carpets, laminate, LVT, and vinyl.
The new wool carpet display stand will showcase a variety of natural fibre options in different styles and colours.
Trends in flooring change slowly as it is a major purchase, but certain styles remain strong.
Eddie said: "We continue to see a lot of interest in the herringbone style, which people buy in laminate, LVT or roll vinyl.

"And whilst grey dominated as the neutral tone for quite a while, we are seeing beige and cream edging its way back in, for people who prefer warmer tones."
United Carpets is catering to a range of budgets, with finance options available, including interest-free credit.
Eddie added: "It is important too that we have flooring at all price points.
"Whatever budget a customer has in mind, we can find something they love. We can offer finance too, including interest-free credit, it all helps."

United Carpets in Crewe is open every day and offers 'quiet hours' by appointment for customers who prefer a calmer shopping experience.
