A Crewe business is working "flat out" to help get customers ready for Christmas, with a Christmas window display competition underway.

It has been a busy few weeks for Eddie Davies of United Carpets, Nantwich Road.

Eddie said: "We have recently taken delivery of a huge new consignment of roll ends, and have a massive range for people to choose from.

Eddie Davies is making time to promote all of Nantwich Road to local residents, with an informal fun Christmas window display competition (United Carpets).

"Roll ends are a great way to get super value for money, and you know they are in stock because they are actually there in front of you."

The run-up to Christmas is always a busy time for Eddie and his team.

"Everyone wants their house looking its best for Christmas, so our fitters work flat out and the beds delivery guys are on overtime!" he said.

Eddie is also making time to promote all of Nantwich Road to local residents, with an informal fun Christmas window display competition.

People can vote for their favourite business by posting a photo of its festive window on social media using the hashtag #NantwichRoadXmas24.

There is a prize for the window with the most votes, plus a prize by a random pick from those who voted.

"It's just a bit of fun but engages everyone who walks along Nantwich Road," said Eddie.

There is more to look forward to on Saturday 21 December, when Santa arrives.

The Rotary Club have arranged for the man himself to travel the length of Nantwich Road, and he will be accompanied by a pair of festive elves, sponsored by the new Crewe BID, a business initiative formed to promote and local shops, services and organisations.

Turn up by 10am and get your photo with the elves - and don't forget to share it on the socials.

Over Christmas, United Carpets is open 9am to 6pm (Friday and Saturday), 10.30am to 4.30pm (Sunday), 9am to 6pm (Monday) and 9am to 1pm (Christmas Eve).
