Businesses along Nantwich Road are invited to take part in a Halloween event, encouraging local residents to take a walk and check out the variety of businesses along the busy thoroughfare.

Juliet Davies, whose husband, Eddie, owns and manages United Carpets, had an idea to put together a fun Halloween shop window display competition.

This encourages everyone who lives in the adjacent roads to walk up and down and explore the variety of retail, hospitality and services that Nantwich Road has to offer, many of which are independent businesses.

To take part, businesses need to post a photo of their window display on your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter page with the hashtag #NantwichRoadHalloween (United Carpets).

Juliet told Nub News: "The displays don't have to be huge or elaborate, it's just a bit of fun for local people to enjoy and vote on their favourite.

"To take part you need to post a photo of your window display on your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter page with the hashtag #NantwichRoadHalloween.

"If you don't have socials send me a photo of your window display, and I will post it on the Nantwich Road Businesses Facebook page for you.

"What we then want is for people to take a walk around and take a photo of their favourite shop and post it on their socials with the hashtag #NantwichRoadHalloween.

"We will then count up the posts and the shop with the most gets a bottle of bubbly, donated by Eddie.

The winners will be announced on Friday 1 November, so get a photo of your Halloween window display posted with #NantwichRoadHalloween now (United Carpets).

"He has also put up a scrummy box of chocolates which will be given to someone drawn randomly from the people who voted."

The winners will be announced on Friday 1 November, so get a photo of your Halloween window display posted with #NantwichRoadHalloween now - and don't forget to vote for your favourite.
