Families across Crewe are being invited to enjoy a free day of activities, entertainment and community spirit as YMCA Cheshire hosts the Crewe 10K Family Fun Day on Sunday 25 October.

Taking place in Crewe town centre from 10am to 3pm, the free Family Fun Day will follow the start of the Crewe 10K and turn race day into a wider community celebration for runners, supporters and families of all ages.

YMCA Cheshire is the official charity partner of the Crewe 10K 2026, which will see runners take on a closed-road 10K route through the heart of Crewe from 9am.

Once the runners are underway, the celebrations will continue with a packed programme of free activities for all ages, including a climbing wall, fire truck, Crewe Alexandra Gaming Bus, gaming zone and family activities.

Visitors will also be able to browse a selection of independent traders brought together by JDL Markets.

Fundraising Manager at YMCA Cheshire, Tammi McClure, said: "We are really excited to be bringing the Crewe 10K Family Fun Day to the town centre and creating something that the whole community can enjoy.

"The Crewe 10K is already a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, and we wanted to make sure that families, supporters and those who are not running can be part of the day too.

"Whether you are coming along to cheer on a runner, enjoy the activities with your children or simply spend time in the town centre, everyone is welcome.

"We would love to see as many people as possible joining us and helping to create a brilliant atmosphere across Crewe."

The event will also provide an opportunity for visitors to find out more about YMCA Cheshire and the charity's work supporting children, young people, individuals and families across Cheshire.

Those taking part in the Crewe 10K can also choose to run in support of YMCA Cheshire, helping to raise vital funds for the charity's work within local communities.

Crewe Nub News Chief Reporter & Editor, Ryan Parker, will be taking part in the 10k run.
