A multicultural Crewe bar and restaurant is celebrating one year in business with a two-day celebration, promising to "step things up" within the next 12 months.
Oden Lounge, High Street, officially launched in October 2024, operated by husband and wife, Opeyemi and Duduyemi Opaleye,
Open until 1am at weekends, Oden Lounge offers "quality" African cuisine, along with beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and mocktails.
To celebrate its first 12 months, Oden Lounge is hosting celebrations across Friday 24 October and Saturday 25 October, as well as relaunching its food and drink menu.

Duduyemi told Nub News: "The past 12 months have been enjoyable and we have earned a reputation of hosting a friendly and safe environment at affordable prices.
"For our one-year anniversary at Oden Lounge, we have made a two-day event to get everyone involved.
"On Friday [October 24], there will be a live DJ and an artist from Kenya who lives in Crewe, to celebrate the milestone, along with our excellent selection of drinks and tasty food.
"Then, on the Saturday [October 25], we will host a live band from Nigeria playing hip-hop and Afrobeat tunes. They can turn any music into an energetic live performance and it will be a show not to be missed.
"We want our events this weekend to be the best and most entertaining they have been to date and will continue them going forward - we are stepping things up.
"Our customer base has steadily increased over the past 12 months, but it still isn't where we believe we cab be and know this can continue to grow further.

"We have made our food and drinks menu more customer-friendly and launch this for our one-year anniversary. We are the only multicultural lounge in a central location in the town.
"With every business you have to learn things that didn't work and did work and that is what we have done across the past year. That is why our next 12 months will be even better.
Oden Lounge, which employs four staff, shows live sport inside its venue, made up of a pub zone, cosy zone and food zone.
Duduyemi added: "Across the past year we have build strong relationships with local businesses, including Ice & Fire Studios, The Arena and ABC Childcare Services.
"At Oden Lounge, we are affordable, family-friendly, have kind staff and offer quality food and drink.
"We aim to improve our offers and plan to host discount days on certain items. Our social media presence will also be improving.

"Currently, we do have the inconvenience of construction works with Crewe Youth Zone being built behind us and the Southern Gateway Scheme continuing to drag on in front of us.
"It is disappointing the Southern Gateway Scheme still hasn't opened, which would massively improve footfall between Crewe Town Centre and High Street.
"We, along with all businesses on High Street, have been very excited to see this project completed but it has just taken setback after setback in opening."
Oden Lounge is open 3pm to 10pm (Tuesday to Thursday), 3pm to 1am (Friday and Saturday), 2pm to 10pm (Sunday).
