New community gaming hub to open in Crewe town centre this July

A new community gaming hub is set to open in Crewe town centre this July, taking on a former charity shop unit.
The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co will soft launch in Victoria Centre on Monday 21 July, with a full opening on Saturday 26 July.
Operated by Jamie Crowe, 42, and business partner, Neil Porter, The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co will operate on both floors of the old BHF shop, which relocated to a new 'value store' this January.
As well as offering a space for "like-minded people" to play games in a sociable environment, The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co will provide a home schooling space, as well as painting sessions and reptile experiences.

Jamie told Nub News: "I have lived in Crewe all my life and am passionate about the town. The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co was born in an instant, between two friends with a love for tabletop gaming.
"In Crewe and the surrounding area, there is currently no central hub where fans of board games, trading card games, tabletop war games, miniature painting and the likes to come together in a welcoming environment.
"At The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co, we will provide a large area for people to sit down and play a variety of these games.
"Everything in here will be inclusive, accessible and sustainable, from the coffee beans to the overall layout.
"I have worked in in IT industry for 20 years for various companies, with myself and Neil now wanting to make a real difference to the local gaming community.
"Crewe has been light on businesses in the town centre, but this now seems to be slowly changing for the better."

The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co is opening with support from the Open in Crewe scheme, offering capital grants of up to £30,000 for businesses taking on leases on vacant town premises.
Jamie said: "We will also be offering home schooling from our centre, as well as a close up with reptiles experience.
"I run my own reptile business 'Fur, Fangs and Scaly Things,' which we are incorporating into the hub where we can.
"Opening a shop is something I have never done, it is both scary and exciting and I can't wait to get the doors open.
"Asda, who own this building have been very helpful in getting us through all the legal stuff, they approved us in no time.
"We can't wait to meet the lovely gaming community and collaborate with local businesses."

The Lizard's Lair Gaming Co is offering one lucky follower a £25 gift card when it opens, with two other followers getting a special 10 per cent off voucher.
