Residents enjoy all the fun of Shavington Village Festival 2021

By Gwyn Griffiths 12th Jul 2021

SEVERAL hundred people enjoyed a fun afternoon at Shavington Village Festival.

Main Road was closed to traffic to accommodate stalls run by local organisations and charities, including the parish council, Methodist Church, Friends of Shavington Primary School, Co-op Member Pioneer Ben Wye, 2nd Shavington Brownies and St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice.

There was also a 'Hook a Duck' stall, Crazy Cottage fairground ride and a Mini Ferris Wheel.

A family barbecue was held behind the village hall and Woodnoth-cum-Shavington WI laid on drinks and homemade cakes in St Mark's Church hall.
