Josef Skrdlant has been missing since February 19.

POLICE divers searched Queens Park lake this afternoon as part of their investigation into a missing Crewe man.

Cheshire Police say the underwater search formed part of their enquiries into the disappearance of Josef Skrdlant, who has not been seen since he left his home close to the park last Friday morning.

The 51-year-old, who hails from the Czech Republic, recently moved back to Crewe from Birmingham, and police launched an appeal for information two days ago as they became increasingly concerned about Mr Skrdlant's welfare.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson confirmed the search was part of the "ongoing investigation" into Mr Skrdlant's disappearance.

Josef was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and blue shoes. He is around 5' 2" tall and has a tanned complexion with brown eyes and black/greying receding hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML 814198.
