SCK Group Ltd has successfully been awarded a three-year Asbestos Licence to take the company late into 2023. The Health and Safety Executive is the enforcing body that grants such licences.

This is a demonstration of SCK's expertise in the licensed asbestos removal sector and reflects the hard work of all staff within the company.

SCK Group prides itself on a fantastic health and safety record. The licence renewal process is generally on-going during the first year of any licence, however the actual renewal assessment process can take up to 3 months.

The company thanked its customer and supplier network for their resilience during this challenging year in ensuring the company is able to service a comprehensive portfolio of projects throughout the UK.

The specialist asbestos business was only established 18 months ago and has grown significantly during the coronavirus pandemic. The business operates out of offices at Crewe Hall but now has additional offices in Bedfordshire (Silsoe) and Kent (Dartford).

The company boasts a projected turnover of 1.3 million in just its second year of operation which has far exceeded expectations.

Asbestos is known as the hidden killer. In the UK alone, up to 4,000 people die each year because of exposure to asbestos. Asbestos remains a problem for many building occupiers and mainly inside workplaces of premises built over 20 years ago.
