Residents safely evacuate West End property following fire on roof

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a house blaze in the West End of Crewe - coming from the roof of a property.

One fire engine from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene - assessing the situation.

Firefighters discovered the blaze was coming from the chimney of a property.

The crew extinguished the flames using specialist equipment and water.

Firefighters put the blaze down to a blocked chimney.

Everyone managed to safely evacuate the Crewe property with no injuries.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A fire involving the chimney of a property in Crewe was extinguished by firefighters using specialist equipment and water.

"A thermal imaging camera was used to the check temperature of the chimney and loft space.

"Everyone was out of the property."
