Remember 8pm is the time to thank key workers again as Clap for Heroes starts tonight!

By Gwyn Griffiths 7th Jan 2021

THE Crewe community are set to rally round again to mark the sacrifices of our NHS staff and key workers during the new lockdown.

Clap for Carers is returning under the new name of Clap for Heroes at 8pm tonight (Thursday).

Annemarie Plas, who started up the tradition, hopes the revival of the initiative will "lift the spirit of all of us" including "all who are pushing through this difficult time".

During the first national lockdown it began as a one-off to support NHS staff on March 26, but quickly became a tradition to mark the efforts of frontline workers every Thursday and ran for 10 weeks with millions of people across the UK taking part.

If you or your street are taking part tonight why not send us your photos and and we'll share them with our readers. Email [email protected] or go to.
